These terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account, buying a ticket, or entering any competition (including by the free entry route), you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
PixelComps is operated by Pixel Competitions Ltd (company number 17179948), registered in England and Wales, registered office The Pump House Office 4, Coton Hill, Shrewsbury, SY1 2DP. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Pixel Competitions Ltd, and "the site" means pixelcomps.co.uk. Email us at [email protected].
2. Who can enter
- You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
- Our employees, our suppliers connected with running a competition, and members of their immediate households cannot enter that competition.
- By entering you confirm you meet these conditions. We may ask for proof, and we can disqualify you if you don't provide it within a reasonable time.
3. Your account
- Open one account only, with accurate details. Multiple accounts will be closed.
- Keep your login secure. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication (2FA). Tell us straight away if someone accesses your account without permission.
- You're responsible for everything done through your account.
4. How competitions work
- Each competition has a set number of tickets, a ticket price, and an opening and closing date, all shown on the site. Times shown are UK time.
- A maximum number of tickets per person may apply and will be shown on the competition.
- To enter, pick a competition, answer the skill question, and buy your tickets. You must answer the question correctly to go into the draw. A free entry route is available (see section 5).
- Entries must be received before the closing date. Late entries don't count and aren't refunded.
- We may change the opening or closing date if we need to, but we won't extend a closing date just to sell more tickets.
- We may cancel or void a competition before the draw if we have to. If we do, everyone who paid gets a full refund of that competition's ticket cost. There's no minimum number of entries; we won't cancel just because few tickets sold.
5. Free entry route
You can enter any competition for free, with the same chance of winning as a paid entry, by post:
- Send your entry in a stamped, addressed envelope to: Pixel Competitions Ltd, The Pump House Office 4, Coton Hill, Shrewsbury, SY1 2DP. Postage is at your own cost; unstamped or postage-due entries won't be accepted.
- Hand-write your full name, address, email, phone number, the competition name, and your answer to the skill question. The details must match your account.
- One entry per envelope; bulk entries in one envelope count as a single entry. Hand-delivered, illegible, or incomplete entries don't count.
- Your entry must arrive before the closing date. Proof of posting isn't proof of receipt, and we won't acknowledge entries.
- If a ticket price is below the cost of a second-class stamp, your postal entry earns the equivalent number of entries for that stamp value.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed securely by Cashflows. Prices are in GBP (£).
- We accept debit cards only and do not accept credit cards. Where a card can't be confirmed as a debit card, the payment may be declined.
- Buying a ticket authorises us to charge your chosen payment method and forms a contract with us under these terms.
- We don't take cash. Refunds and winnings are returned, where possible, to the payment method they came from.
7. The draw and choosing winners
- Winners are picked by a verifiable random draw within 7 days of the closing date. The draw is run on our provably-fair system (see pixelcomps.co.uk/provably-fair).
- An entry list showing names and ticket numbers may be published on the site and shown during the draw. If you'd rather not appear, email us at least 48 hours before the draw.
- Instant wins: some competitions allocate prizes to specific ticket numbers at the point of purchase. If your number matches, you're told straight away. Instant wins are separate from the main draw and don't affect your entry into it.
- The result is final and we won't enter into discussion about it.
8. The prizes
- Each prize is described on the competition page, correct to the best of our knowledge at the opening date.
- Prizes are subject to availability. We may substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value, or offer a cash alternative, if the prize becomes unavailable or circumstances outside our control make it necessary.
- Prizes can't be transferred or exchanged unless we say otherwise.
- We don't warrant a prize's value or condition beyond what the law requires. Your statutory rights aren't affected.
- If the prize is a vehicle: it comes with a valid MOT where required, but no insurance, no road tax, and no responsibility once delivered. You're responsible for insuring it, holding the right licence, and using it safely and legally.
9. Winners: notification, ID and publicity
- We'll contact the winner using the email or phone number on their account as soon as practical after the draw.
- You must respond within 14 days. If we can't reach you or you don't claim within that time, the prize may be forfeited and we may draw a replacement winner.
- To prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations, we may ask a winner for valid government-issued photo ID before releasing a prize. If acceptable ID isn't provided within 14 days of our request, the prize may be forfeited.
- You must claim a prize yourself; no one can claim on your behalf. Cash prizes are paid to a bank account in your name once you've shown you're the account holder.
- We're not responsible for prizes lost or damaged in delivery once handed to the courier, and we're not liable if you can't or don't take up a prize.
- To meet the CAP Code (which the ASA enforces), we publish a winners list and entry list on the site, ordinarily showing the surname and county of major winners. Tell us before the closing date if you object, though we may still have to give your details to the Advertising Standards Authority to prove the competition ran fairly.
10. Loyalty points
- Loyalty points are an optional feature that may be switched on or off at any time, and may not be available on every competition.
- When the feature is on, you may earn points on ticket purchases and redeem them as credit towards future tickets.
- Points have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged for money.
- We can change or withdraw the points feature, and change earning and redemption rates, at any time, and revoke points earned through fraud.
11. Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable, whether or not the draw has taken place. The only exceptions are where we cancel or void a competition (section 4) or where the law gives you a refund right. No refund is due if you change your mind, or if you're later found ineligible, become ineligible, or are disqualified.
12. Things you must not do
You must not:
- use the site unlawfully or against the spirit of a competition;
- open multiple accounts or get round ticket limits;
- use bots, scripts, or automated tools, or interfere with the site or a draw;
- commit payment fraud or give false information;
- be abusive to us or anyone connected with us.
If you do any of these, your entries can be voided with no refund and you may be banned from future competitions.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account for breaking these terms or for suspected fraud. Banned users forfeit unredeemed points and pending prizes.
14. Responsible play
We want playing here to stay fun and affordable. You can manage your own limits from your account dashboard, where you can set spend limits or self-exclude for a chosen period. Our full Responsible Play Policy explains every tool and where to get support, and our Complaints Policy sets out how to raise a complaint if something goes wrong. If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, free, confidential help is available from GamCare (0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware.org.
15. Anti-money laundering
We won't allow our systems to be used for money laundering or other crime. We may verify your identity, keep records of entries and payments, return funds to their original source, and refuse or close accounts that give false information or look suspicious. We'll report and cooperate with the authorities where required.
16. Our liability
The site is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss or injury arising from taking up a prize except where it results from our negligence. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, and your statutory rights aren't affected.
17. Your data and privacy
We use the details you give us to run competitions, contact winners, and meet legal obligations, as set out in our Privacy Policy (pixelcomps.co.uk/privacy). If you ask us to delete your details or stop contacting you, we won't be able to enter you into competitions or tell you if you've won, and no refund is due.
18. Not affiliated with social platforms
Our competitions are not sponsored, endorsed, or run by Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Apple, or Google. Those platforms have no liability or responsibility for them.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on the site, and we'll flag material changes by email or site notice. Continuing to use the site means you accept the latest version.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
