At PixelComps we want entering competitions to stay what it should be: fun, exciting, and affordable. Prize competitions aren't gambling. Every competition has a free entry route, so you never have to spend a penny to take part. But we know that spending on anything should be kept in proportion, and some people can find it hard to stay in control. This policy explains the tools, checks, and support we provide to help you play responsibly.
We are committed to meeting and going beyond the Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators (published by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and in force from 20 May 2026). This policy sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
We ask every player to keep a few simple habits in mind:
You'll find all of these in the Responsible Play section of your account dashboard. They range from light limits to a full break, so you can pick the level of control that suits you.
You can cap how much you spend on entries per day, week, or month. A few things worth knowing:
If you'd like a short pause, you can lock yourself out for 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 1 week, or 1 month. During a break you can't enter competitions and won't receive marketing from us. A break can't be cancelled early; it simply ends on its own when the time is up.
For a longer time away, you can self-exclude for a minimum of 6 months (6, 9, or 12 months). While self-excluded you can't enter competitions or receive any marketing (email, SMS, or push), and the exclusion can't be lifted early. It may take a short time for every system to update, so you might briefly receive a message that was already scheduled before your break began. Your account reopens automatically at the end, and we may ask you to confirm your identity before you start again.
You can close your account permanently at any time. Once closed you won't be able to enter competitions or access balances, tickets, or points. You can ask us to reopen it later, subject to confirming your identity and accepting the current terms.
To keep spending in proportion, PixelComps is debit-only and does not accept credit cards at all. This goes beyond the Voluntary Code, which allows credit cards up to £250 per player per month and only bans them on instant-win competitions; by declining credit entirely, we remove that risk across every competition.
Card type is checked at the point of payment using information from our payment provider. Where a card can't be positively confirmed as a debit card, the payment may be declined.
PixelComps is strictly for adults. You must be 18 or over to hold an account or enter. You confirm your age when you register, we may show an 18+ check when you arrive on the site, and we carry out age and identity verification. We never target our advertising at under-18s. If we find an account belongs to someone underage, we'll close it.
From the moment you open an account, we monitor for signs that play may be becoming harmful, such as repeatedly hitting your spend limit, sharp changes in spending or play patterns, frequent switching of payment methods, or anything you tell us directly. Where we spot warning signs, we take a proportionate step: that might be a gentle prompt, a reminder about these tools, direct contact, or, where concerns are serious, stopping an account from entering further competitions. Our aim is always to help you stay in control, not to keep you spending.
It can help to pause and ask yourself:
If you answered "yes" to any of these, consider setting a limit or taking a break using the tools above, and take a look at the support below.

Responsible play depends on trust, so for every competition we:
Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
We monitor our own compliance with the Voluntary Code and act quickly to fix any gaps. We require partners who help run our competitions to meet the same standards, and we publish our player-protection measures openly, and this policy is part of that commitment.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new tools, codes of practice, or legal requirements. The current version is always on our website with a revised "last updated" date.
